Business Challenge
Wenger had data in older, legacy Customer Relationship Management systems that they wanted to import into Microsoft Dynamics CRM. There were also system infrastructure issues that prevented access to the CRM environment and changes to the data model that were required to support established business processes. Data mapping had not been defined to ensure the data was brought into CRM correctly and completely. The Wenger Information Technology team had several projects on their agenda which precluded them from dedicating resources to the MSCRM deployment project.
Solution
Working as part of the Wenger CRM team, The X-eqt team reviewed the client’s vision, environment, and timeline and provided suggestions and system changes to better support the client’s vision and timeline. Through the use of data import tools, the X-eqt team helped to import Parent and Child Accounts, Contacts, and Quote and Opportunity data from their current systems into MSCRM. After the data was loaded and verified, X-eqt worked with Wenger to further streamline their Quoting process and enabled SharePoint integration for the storage of documents related to Quotes and supporting documentation.
Results
Multiple data loads were performed to allow Wenger to test and clean up old data. A final data load was completed after approval from the Wenger team. They are now using Microsoft Dynamics CRM for management of this data and process and are planning a phase 2 implementation.
