X-eqt will invest this time to assure and demonstrate that we can provide future value to your business.
Like everything X-eqt does, envisioning is a highly collaborative process that includes you every step of the way. We like to make things simple, and we use basic skills and tools to keep it that way. We use a top-down approach, regular communication and a built- in feedback loop to make sure we are meeting your needs. We produce just enough documentation to maximize your time and keep the process moving.
We Start With Your Concept
To understand the company vision and direction, we start by talking with executives and leaders in your organization. In one or more short meetings, we will capture and document the problems and opportunities you have today, the business drivers for change, and the desired future state you want to create. We will talk about your business goals and how you will know when you achieve them. We’ll also discuss the extent to which X-eqt can help you realize your future vision. The deliverables from these meetings will be:
- A vision narrative
- Critical success factors
- High-level scope
Define Your Business Process
The next step in our Envisioning Process is to talk to the people who do the day-to-day work. We want to understand current business processes and where the problems lie. We also want to hear firsthand their ideas for making the work more efficient and effective. This information is usually gathered in individual or small group sessions with subject matter experts and key users in the areas within scope. From these meetings, X-eqt will produce:
- Current state documentation
- High-level future state requirements
Validate Your Initial Vision
Once the desired future state business process is defined, X-eqt will present our findings to validate them against the initial vision, scope, and success factors. We will work with you and your team to refine the scope and clarify the requirements. The outcome of the validation step will be a revised vision and scope and finalized high-level requirements.
Finalize Proposed Solution
The final step in our Envisioning Process is to finalize our documentation and produce an estimate for services. The final documentation will include:
- Final vision narrative, scope, and critical success factors
- Final high-level requirements
- X-eqt’s high-level technical solution for the agreed upon scope
- The business benefits you will derive from the technology solution
- A rough order of magnitude estimate to implement the solution
Commitment and Delivery
The process of transforming the high-level documentation and rough estimates into a fully implemented solution that fulfills your vision begins with requirements. X-eqt projects typically begin with a short engagement that is focused on capturing requirements to identify project phases and provide higher confidence estimates for the phases. Continuing our collaborative approach, X-eqt will work with you and your team every step of the way to document requirements, provide an actionable plan, and deliver the features and functions you desire.
